Today is the official start of my new adventure. I am following a dream that I have wanted for so long, but have been afraid to pursue. I am officially starting my own consulting business!

When it comes to chasing the life of my dreams, it also means that I have to take new risks. This is my time to take these risks. I have been working as a consultant for an agency for some time, but now is the time to go out on my own! I love the idea of freedom to design my office days as I choose. As I have been exploring this new world I find myself working for a while and then taking a break to do a little yoga, take the dog outside, water the flowers, or whatever else and then going back to working feeling happy and refreshed. It makes me reflect on how efficient the traditional cubicle world is. I feel like I am getting just as much done, but I am so much happier and more inspired doing it!

As I reflect on my goals for this year, the biggest is to find and maintain balance in my life. I love what I do for a living, but I need to not let it become everything. Part of why I started this blog in the first place is so that I can remind myself of all the things I love and the things that bring me happiness. I hope to use this time to do the things I love and spend more time with all of the people I love! This year I want to do more yoga, go on more walks, sip more coffee on my back deck, take time to journal and watch podcasts from inspiring women, travel, and find the best version of myself. I also want to be the best consultant to my clients. Taking time to plan and prepare in an environment that inspires me to be creative as well as intentional. I am so excited (and a little scared) to see where my journey takes me and I am so glad to have such amazing people to support me in this new beginning!
