Whistler, B.C.

Whistler is one of my favorite place to travel to. It has so many things that bring me happiness! Firstly, it is so beautiful. Everywhere you look it is gorgeous. Secondly, it creates a lifestyle that I crave. I love the ability to walk everywhere and still not have the hustle of a city. Third, there is so much to do. Form hiking to a day at the spa, Whistler always offers something to do. Lastly, I would be remiss to not talk about the amazing food. There are so many restaurants, at every price point, and none of them have disappointed!

While in Whistler we walked and hiked constantly. The views were just breathtaking. Since it was late spring there were lots of flowers in bloom too.

This was my forth trip to Whistler and I had yet to see the black bears that are well known for being a part of the landscape. This trip I was able to see them. I was so excited the first night as we were eating dinner and I looked up on the hill behind us and there was a bear! The locals say they see them daily and they are always mellow. I will take their word for it. I enjoyed seeing the bears from a distance. They are so beautiful.

One of the main sightseeing adventures we went on was the Peak to Peak gondola. It takes you from Whistler to Blackcomb and offers the most incredible views. We were too early in the season to do any hiking up top, but we had a great time anyway!

While there we also decided to spend a rainy day at a spa. We discovered The Spa at Nita Lake, and it did not disappoint! My therapist was one of the best I have ever had! She was great at helping me get in to a meditative state to truly relax and enjoy the service. I had a foot service as a part of my treatment and it really helped my sore feet from all of the walking I had done. The spa also offered rooftop hot tubs, a steam room and sauna, and a great relaxation room. It was a great midweek treat!

So I can’t wait any longer to talk about the food. The first restaurant I would like to talk about is Dusty’s. This is a great bar style restaurant with fall off the bone ribs and nachos that are amazing! Since we were there off season everything on the menu was 40 percent off. This allowed us to try several menu items, and none of them were disappointing.

For a healthier meal (at least for the women), we enjoyed brunch at Earl’s. It was so good and the sangria was amazing. It prepared us for our biggest day of shopping. I enjoyed an avocado toast and Lauren enjoyed a tuna poke bowl. The guys decided they would have a burger for brunch!

The last restaurant I am going to talk about for this trip is 21 Steps. This is our second time eating here and once again it was amazing! We had asked several people where to eat and this one came up every time. We were thrilled to get the off season prices for such an amazing meal. I had mussels in a red curry sauce and shrimp and scallops. The guys had steak. Shocking I know.

This trip was just what I needed as I continue to chase my Elegant Life!

Cheers!
